JOTS - couldn't agree with you more. I couldn't muster the energy to defend it the other day, but I'm with you on the CR&S & 1/2 Step.... I always compare other versions to it and they rarely match up well. And in my family, the SYF Big River is THE definitive version that always leads me & my girls to do a hoe-down dance up & down the hall.
Yes, it's a muddy sound for a commercial release, but after all the archive recordings I've listened to now, it definitely is good enough.

WOW! 116 bucks! and they dont even throw in the short shorts with the tampon string coming out the arse ( check out the view from the vault from 87 )

Oh, man that's scary funny. Put an overweight, middle aged dead head in that and give him some big 80's hair and see if you wouldn't shoot him if he asked your daughter out on a date. Maybe I could wear that to a "Miami Vice" party.
I actually do like a couple of the songs on the Bobby and the Midnights record, but I might have been scared away at the time if I knew this shirt existed.
